my prototype vehicle

Last year, we were having a holiday in Brisbane, believe it or not. Anyway Mum and Dad gave Catherine and me over a hundred dollars (it was after the court case and was a special celebration). The first day we got there I went shopping. I saw this robot-making kit that you can programme from your computer. I bought it the next day.
Yesterday, I started working on my own robot design. I had already made 4 machines using the instructions from the book, but this one is the first one I have designed myself.
I called it Mark 1. It is a 4 wheel drive vehicle about 30cm long. The first thing it did was drive up my water bottle. I plan to modify it and put sound sensors and touch sensors on it so when it crashes into a wall, it will back up using the touch sensor. When I make a sound, it will stop or go.
This picture is the model with no sensors. The box on top is a computer, but I think it looks like a gun turret. More pictures when it is finished...

My New Wall Posters

I went Christmas shopping last week with Catherine, and I ended up buying a forty-dollar half-metre long book called "Sports Cars" for myself. It's got all these great pictures of cars. The next day, dad and I cut a couple of pages out and hung them on my wall. One was a Lamborghini with square 'glasses'(headlights), that I named Kevin Rudd. The other was a sporty Mercedes Benz. I named that one Julia Gillard. I also hung up a picture of a Porsche, named Maxine McKew. Last, but certainly not least, I printed out a picture of a Toyota HiAce (secondhand) and gave it the name "John Howard", just for a little joke.

Dad loved it.

Politically yours,
Christopher

ps: Dad wants me to say that he did not put me up to this. It was all my idea.
